BiotechBuilders is an informal and independent networking organization for entrepreneurs and business professional in the life science industry.
The annual event of BiotechBuilders brings together executives in the Swedish life science sector for a day of networking and team building. The informal platform of the event is accompanied by case exercises, and inspiring speakers, delivering talks on current topics of the industry. The objective of the event is to foster growth of the industry through establishment of personal contacts that will transform into an exchange of ideas and know-how, which may ultimately stimulate the Swedish life sciences sector. The event is invitation only and there is a formal theme to address a current and inspiring industry specific topic in an informal setting, like the 2016 Pirate theme, 2017 Hawaii Edition, and 2018 Building Values. History of BiotechBuilders
BiotechBuilders was first initiated in Denmark, 2002, by Dr Jørgen Thorball an early morning at Copenhagen Airport. The news about the dying Biotech industry called for action to energize the entrepreneurs and bring new life to the industry. Dr Torberg invited the leading life science companies to initiate the first BiotechBuilders event. In this playful and inspiring environment, company founders, visionaries, venture capitalist and CEOs had the opportunity to network and exchange ideas. In 2009 the event was brought to Sweden and have since been held annually in Stockholm, and it has been a great success and much appreciated among the participating people.
